It is for real. Android 3.0 allows applications to turn on hardware acceleration for all rendering operations.

Co to oznacza? Wreszcie Android dostanie to, na brak czego wielu narzekało - sprzętowe wsparcie w wyświetlaniu grafiki. Będzie ono działało między w innymi w wyświetlaniu graficznego interface.
Dzięki temu będziemy mogli zapomnieć o problemach jakimi były miniprzycięcia i spowolnienia, na które wielu użytkowników tego systemu narzekało.
