DO NOT FLASH THE BOOTLOADER FIX TO JM1 FIRMWARE! IT DOESN'T LIKE IT!
tu jest bezpieczniejsza metoda:

opis:
Here is the new method I was talking about.
I consider it the safest method yet, because there are so many (critical) variables less. Now Odin3 and the drivers cannot mess anything up.
It is fully automated process so user errors are almost impossible.
How to use it:
1. Download GT-I9000_SBL_RCVDL_FIX_REDBEND.7z and extract the archive (contains update.zip file).
2. Connect the phone to the computer and mount the INTERNAL SD as mass storage.
3. Copy the update.zip file to the root of the SD card.
4. Unmount the SD card safely -> (to prevent data corruption).
5. Go to settings -> Applications -> Development -> Enable USB Debugging.
6. Start a new command prompt and type "adb reboot recovery"
7. Once in recovery mode, unplug the phone from the computer.
8. Use the volume button to navigate downwards, and select "apply sdcard:update.zip". Press home key to execute.
9. Some large blue letters will we visible, it is just redbend_ua working, ignore.
10. The screen will turn black once the update is finished. The device will reboot within 5 seconds.
11. Job done.
GT-I9000_SBL_RCVDL_FIX_REDBEND.7z
This version is for GT-I9000 and GT-I9000M phones.
It might work with GT-I9000B and GT-I9000T (South-American) variants too, but it has not been tested.
I don´t think it will work on Captivate (SGH-I897) and Vibrant (SGH-T959), because the key sequence to launch recovery and download modes from power off state is different(?) (no physical home key).
Thanks to supercurio for "lending" redbend and the programming commands.
Please report in the results!
