Dear all,
I know some of you have updated to Android 4.3 (12.1.A.0.266) update, while others are still stubbornly stuck at Android 4.1.2 (12.0.A.2.254) or chose to downgrade. Each has their pros and cons actually, and I won't say much about it. It has been discussed for unknown period of time already...
You may have heard that the QMR (12.1.A.1.192) update for the Sony Xperia SP has been canceled. It's not because they wanted to, it's because they found a major flaw that can damage your phone especially when it's updated over the air (FOTA).
Yes, this would mean another delay for the update, but would you want to receive an update that will destroy your beautifully crafted phone? I bet no, who would want to have their hard-earned money to be gone thanks to an update? Also, why on earth would Sony Mobile wants to break your trust because of this?
Some also knows that Android 4.4.2 update for Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra is already pushed out and is questioning why it's not available for Sony Xperia SP.
Sony Xperia SP is a mid-range for 2013 lineup, it would mean the priority won't be placed on us but the high-end / flagship models. Stop questioning when will the update be available, it would be available when they're able to deliver. Sony Xperia Z, ZL and ZR would be ahead of us, no questions asked.
Also, they have to push the QMR update before concentrating on the Android 4.4.2 update. Unless they totally abandon the QMR update and concentrate on the KK update, users would still be complaining about bugs throughout Android 4.3.
I really hope that all of you don't keep spamming about these two again and again. It has been there for weeks and it's getting very annoying. With over 8500 members here, this situation could get worse if not resolved.
Please stop all this and thanks for reading this lengthy passage.
Yours sincerely,
Chew Loh Seng
