Sorry for English, translate to Polish please:
So for those of you who are missing apps like clock and other functionalities in KitKat Beta (G6-L11), or just want to downgrade back to 4.3, just follow this tutorial.
You should thank Jaime Feldaca and Stefan Daniel Batagoi Emotikon grin
Remember that installing KitKat Beta if you're not in the beta testers program voids your warranty and everything you do is for science. And scientists do take risks.
First you'll need B118 firmware, download here -> http://consumer.huawei.com/…/pr…/downloads/detail/index.htm…
The latest version of RootGenius (Shuame) -> ROOT精灵 官方网站 - 安卓(Android)一键ROOT工具 支持超过10000款热门机型
And of course the KitKat update.zip which you'll find on the group.
It's in chinese and no english version exists, but for the average user it should be pretty straight forward to follow.
1) For general safety of any procedure, BACKUP everything you need and do a factory reset.
2) Extract the firmware (dload folder itself) in the root of your phone's SD card. If you have an HwOUC folder on your SD card I suggest you remove it or rename it.
3) Using the phone's dialler, type *#*#2846579159#*#* , this will get you to a service menu, hit 7, Upgrade and then 1, SD card upgrade. If you've properly extracted the dload folder it should work.
4) Give it some time to flash back to B118.
5) Once you're back to 4.3, enable USB Debugging (google tells you how)
6) Connect the phone to your pc using an USB cable and root using Shuame RootGenius, again if you are having troubles hitting a big chinese button just look around the group or google stuff because it has been explained before.
7) Once it's done successfully, reboot the phone for fun
8) Install ES File Explorer or any of your favorite Root Explorers. Remember that in ES File Explorer you must first go to tools in the left hand side menu and enable root explorer. Then, from your phone's root folder, navigate to the 'data' folder and inside find a file called custom.bin. Open it using your favorite text editor (HTML viewer works too). Inside there should be a string which decides what sort of bloatware the phone should install. This is used by douchebags like T-Mobile or Orange to install their bullshit on every device bought from them. Anyway, my string looks like 'dt/ro', specific for T-Mobile Romania. Note down the string you have there because you'll need it later.
--- At this point if you want to keep using 4.3, you'll notice that the settings menu in the notification bar and few other features are missing, so just skip to step 12) ---
9) Copy the KitKat update.zip in HwOUC on your SD card. Beware that dload folder should be renamed or removed.
10) Once you've noted your custom.bin string, power off the phone and enter recovery (VOL+ and Power button for ~5 seconds)
11) Install update.zip from HwOUC, give it some time.
If everything went smoothly as it should, you should see King Root installed on your KitKat device and that is just awesome. If it's not, then try downloading SuperSU or King Root or whatever you like and see if it works. If it doesn't, then just go back to step 1. If you're stuck in a loop, then just give up at step 8).
12) Using your favorite phone root explorer like ES, open the 'cust' folder in the root of your device. Remember the custom.bin string that I asked you to note down earlier? It comes handy over here.
Rename the 'hw' folder to the string before the slash in your custom.bin, for example mine was 'dt'
Inside the hw folder, there is a folder called 'normal'. Rename it to the second part of your custom.bin, mine was 'ro'.
13) Factory reset once again. You're done.
On B350 you need again "repair" cust like in other soft (change folder name /cust/hw/normal to cust/dt/pl in Polish, in other country = check it in data/custom.bin - open like txt and you will see) and factory reset again, than you will see missing apps like clock and functions.
