I'm having issues with my apple watch and it's started to happen too often. I'll be in the middle of working out and the heart rate monitor will stop tracking me for 3-4 minutes almost every 20 minutes or so and it's frustrating as I'm not doing anything different and the workout perspective was my main drive to purchase the watch. Does anyone else have this issue?

I updated to WatchOS 4 last night. I did two workouts today and my heart rate monitor was very inconsistent with collecting data. Prior heart rate graphs for my workouts barely miss a beat, and now I have huge gaps in my data. Many time when I checked my stats on my watch it was not picking up my heart rate, and that never happened with the prior OS. I am running the same routes so terrain is not an issue. Anyone seeing the same issues? The HRM on this watch used to be really consistent and now it is far worse than a cheap competitor low end unit!
lub Fenix
I have had my Fenix 5 since it came out. Well to be honest, I am on my second one. Garmin replace my first one as the BT did not work properly... I am super disappointed on the wrist HR sensor performance. I do understand wrist HR sensor are not the best... however, I have a Garmin forerunner 235 which I have use at the same time while working out. The 235 keeps up with my HR just fine while the fenix 5 is basically saying i'm dead. I have a the Fenix 5 sapphire which is ~$750 after tax here in Florida and well I just think that a fitness tracking watch that retails for this much money should work way better than it does. I also have a Fitbit HR which was $80 and it does a better job than my Fenix 5… I which i can return it but Garmin won't take it back..
