Hi developers at Adam
Thanks again for contacting the Google Play team.
Unfortunately I'm not able to comment on your planned implementation. Please be mindful that our policy team does not support pre-compliance check. The developer needs to resubmit the app with compliant APK in order to be in review process.
You should only access Call Log or SMS permissions when your app falls within permitted uses and only to enable your app’s critical core functionality.
For additional guidance, please review the Permissions policy and this Play Console Help Center article.
If you think your app is in compliance, please submit your app for another review. You may want to review the Developer Program Policies for additional policy guidance.
Thanks for your understanding and continued support.
A to moja odpowiedź na ich ostatniego maila. Część podkreślona to fragmenty ich wcześniejszego maila do mnie
Thank you for replying to my email. I will refer to your reply part by part.
- Requested permissions do not match core functionality of the app
- You declared [Device Automation] as the core functionality of your app. However, after review, we found that your app does not match the declared use case(s). Learn more about permitted uses and exceptions.
Please either:
Make changes to your app so that it meets the requirements of the declared core functionality or,
Select a use case that matches your app’s functionality
Core functionality is defined as the main purpose of the app. This may comprise of a set of core features, which must all be prominently documented and promoted in the app's description.
I have read your permission policy. If it's not device automation so please tell me which option is more suitable. My app core functionality is to automate user task such as replying to missed/rejected calls via SMS. It has also functionality which allows sending group messages. This is the main purpose of this app. It is completed and there is no need to change it. Core functionality is described in app description to make it clear for users.
You should only access Call Log or SMS permissions when your app falls within permitted uses and only to enable your app’s critical core functionality.
As i wrote before my app is sending messages so it has to have SMS permission. Moreover I need call log permission for obtaining incoming call number because app has to know on which number it should answer. Without this permission my app core functionality can't be achieved.
Permission requests should make sense to users. You may only request permissions that are necessary to implement critical current features or services in your application. You may not use permissions that give access to user or device data for undisclosed, unimplemented, or disallowed features or purposes.
My app doesn't have any unimplemented features and it doesn't asking for any extra permissions. And as I wrote above I make my core functionality described in app description.
I kindly please for accepting my app or if not, please tell me what I should do to make it happend. I constantly receiving from You copy paste emails which are not referring to my questions.
Best regards
